Biography
Dr. Rajlakshmi started working in Australia in 2008 at Mt. Isa Base Hospital, a place close to her heart. She worked there for 3 years gaining experience in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health and culture.
Later she worked in Atherton for a year before moving to Cairns in 2013. She completed her General Practice training in 2014 and has been working with the Cairns community since then.
She enjoys all aspects of General Practice. Her areas of interest are Women’s health (puberty to menopause and beyond), antenatal and postnatal care, and Contraception (including IUD’s). She also has a strong interest in Mental Health.
She has completed her Diploma in Child Health through The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, Sydney. She is also a certified trainer for Doctors who are interested in IUD training.
Outside of her professional life, she is the proud mother of two lovely and beautiful kids.
