Dr Rajlakshmi (Raj) Rajpal

Biography
Dr. Rajlakshmi started working in Australia in 2008 at Mt. Isa Base Hospital, a place close to her heart. She worked there for 3 years gaining experience in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health and culture. Later she worked in Atherton for a year before moving to Cairns in 2013.
She completed her General Practice training in 2014 and has been working with the Cairns community since then. She enjoys all aspects of General Practice.
She has completed a Diploma in Child Health through The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, Sydney. She is also a trainer for Doctors who are interested in IUD training. She has two lovely and beautiful kids.

Dr Gagandeep (Gagan) Rajpal

Biography
Dr Gagandeep Rajpal has been a practicing GP in Cairns since 2014. He completed his medical degree in 2003 at Odessa State Medical University, completed his General Practice Registrar training with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2014 and has a Diploma in Child Health from Westmead Hospital in Sydney.
Dr Gagandeep worked in Mt Isa where he gained an in-depth knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal Health and Culture. He has a keen interest in academics and hosts medical students.
Dr Gagandeep is the Medical Director of Harmony Family Medical Centre.

Dr Harshani Jayawardana

Dr Harshani is a dedicated and experienced medical professional with vast experience in general practice, family medicine, and public health. She earned her MBBS from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo, and a Diploma in Family Medicine from the Postgraduate Institute of Medicine, University of Colombo.
She possesses a versatile clinical proficiency that extends across various medical domains, from routine assessments to specialized interventions in gynaecology, obstetrics, surgery, family medicine, paediatric emergency care, and mental health.
Her diverse skill set emphasizes her ability to provide comprehensive and integrated healthcare, addressing the complex needs of patients across medical and mental health spectrums with precision and empathy.

Dr Noume Reza

Biography
Dr Noume completed her MBBS from Dhaka University, Bangladesh. She has trained in Emergency medicine and General surgery. Since then she has gained experience in general practice while working in Australia.
Dr Noume is passionate about helping her patients and ensuring that they are heard when they come for a consultation. She strives for patient satisfaction and works with a patient centred approach to care.
Dr Noume has trained for and has been successfully performing implanon and IUD insertions and removals.
In her free time, she loves to travel, enjoy various cuisines and get immersed in a book. She has a son who is the joy of her life!
